The EMEA Human Resources team operates form the EMEA HQ in Belgium and from additional EMEA affiliates. Working towards the irresistible organization, focusing on the employee experience and on being business enablers, is the mission of our HR team. Specifically, when it comes to HR administration related topics or compensation & benefit guidelines, the HR Services & Rewards team provides the needs support towards all associates. 


Job Summary


As a Payroll Administration Assistant for a temporary period of 6 months, you’ll support the correct and timely processing of all payroll activities, concerning all Terumo Europe associates. As part of HR Services and Rewards, you’ll support the Senior Payroll Specialist. Additionally, you’ll provide support for the other members of the HR Services & Rewards team. 


Job Responsibilities


As our Payroll Administration Assistant, you’ll work closely with the HR community in all aspects of Payroll, Compensation and Benefits. You provide the needed administrative support towards the HR Services & Rewards team. 


You’ll be responsible for the scanning and archiving of contracts, documents and e-mails related to payroll. Consequently, you’ll be required to put in requests for missing documents if needed. You’ll also answer e-mails when needed and you’ll cascade more complex e-mails to your supervisor.  


You will be responsible to affiliate and terminate the different insurances of our associates. In addition, you’ll foresee the necessary communication towards the insurance company in case of work accidents. You’ll also be in charge of processing sickness attestations  and resolving errors within the time and attendance system (Protime). Reports from Protime will need to be generated as well and they’ll need to be delivered to the relevant managers. 


You’ll be responsible for overseeing the communication, concerning the relevant HR payroll topics . You’ll communicate regularly with internal associates, but also external partners. 


You will support the S Payroll Specialist by implementing changes within the HRIS (Human Resource Information System) as well as within the payroll program (E-blox – SD Worx).


By fulfilling your role, you’ll create basic reports for the Finance department, and you’ll provide the needed support to the Payroll Specialist during  the payroll closure. 


All predetermined tasks need to be performed according to the given instructions and procedures. In addition, other responsibilities and authorities might be assigned, based on the personal development of the Payroll Administration Assistant. 

Profile Description


For this role, we’re open to welcome Young Graduates. So, are you graduating this year, or do you have 1 or 2 years of experience within the relevant domain? Don’t hesitate to apply if you match the further requirements. 


You have obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree with a Social Science orientation. An equivalent through experience will also be accepted.  


You are highly motivated, a self-starter and you show initiative in developing yourself. In addition, you’re accurate, a team player and are able to work autonomously. 


You possess strong interpersonal and communication and presentation skills. In addition, you’re a team player and able to work efficiently within cross-functional teams. You thrive within an international environment, with a strong understanding of diversity and different cultures. 


You are computer literate (i.e. basic to advanced knowledge of excel is required). Additionally, you’re highly proficient in English and Dutch. This entails both the verbal and writing skills. The proficiency in other languages, will be regarded as an asset.
