The Finance department supports the business by planning, organizing, auditing, accounting for and controlling the company's finances. They collaborate closely with the business and supporting departments in order to realise the best outcome for all stakeholders.

Job Summary

The Business Process Expert Finance takes overall responsibility in the End-to-End Finance processes and in impacts on finance resulting from other integrated End-to-End processes (like Order-to-cash, Procure-to-Pay, etc..), making sure that the IT/process solution adequately covers the needs of the business covering all business units, departments, support functions and affiliates. He/she imlements improvements and rolls out projects in the area of finance in cooperation with the various End-to-End process owners, IT, other process areas and the local user department experts. He/she will report into Terumo Europe's Finance Process Owner. 

Job Responsibilities

1. Finance & Accounting

•    Act as a guardian of the designed solution making sure that all (and only) business relevant requirements are considered.
•    Consult other people/process experts if needed to make sure that proposed way of working covers all business requirements (e.g. Affiliates, departments, business units, ...).
•    Represent the business/division(s) and acts as a subject matter expert for (part of) the process(es) involved. 
•    Create customer specifications in collaboration with user department and process owners.
•    Take decisions in the mindset of simplification and standardization in case of conflicting business requirements.
•    Decide on process lay-outs and changes to the processes.
•    Help to drive the change into the organization making sure that the new process is respected and adhered to in the day-to-day business. 
•    Coordinate impacts on process controls and J-SOX with Internal Audit team
•    Accountable for authorisations role design for their processes and approves authorisation.
•    Work closely with other business process Experts on integration topics and cross-functional processes (transversal).
•    Responsible for reduction of incident tickets in the assigned process area e.g. by implementation of continuous improvements of standard processes
•    Supervise the business process expert(s) (if applicable) and makes sure that the process expert(s) adequately fulfills their role.
•    Get business processes documented and translated business requirements in functional requirements 
•    Ensure that key-users for their business processes are identified and adequately trained to perform their duties.
•    Ensure that end-users have the required knowledge to execute their job properly Train and coach the users in the departments on how to apply standard processes in order to optimize the business benefit.
•    Responsible for creation and update of standard process documentation.
•    Perform and support test activities e.g. integration and regression tests incl. preparation of standard test cases.

 

2. Projects

•    Brings deep business process knowledge and expertise to the approved projects
•    (Re)Approval/sign-off of key project deliverables: e.g. blueprint design documentation
•    Provide project status feedback on a regular basis to the business stakeholders for his/her process. Sells changes to the processes to all stakeholders
•    Escalates issues/change requests/reports status to the Project Board & Change Advisory Board(s).
•    Takes decisions on prioritization in case of conflicting project /business requirements and issues.
 

Profile Description

The person we're looking for, has the following profile: 

•    Master’s degree or equivalent working experience
•    Detailed knowledge of key Financial processes
•    Strong analytical skills
•    Proven leadership skills with ability to inspire and motivate people
•    Skills in project management 
•    Initiative, persuasiveness, assertiveness and consistent target tracking
•    Excellent verbal and written communications skills
•    Fluent in English and local national language (written and spoken). Other languages are a plus
•    Advanced level of IT ERP (by preference SAP) systems. Experience of SAP S/4 Hana is plus
•    Proactive team player
•    Strong ability to prioritize tasks 
•    Willingness to work in a global & virtual team
•    You are an enthusiastic team-player and can combine creativity and expert skills in solving complex problems. You are comfortable working in a team as well as on your own.
