Job Summary
As the Terumo Interventional Systems Internal Communication Specialist you will be responsible to craft and execute personalized internal communication strategies and actively drive the creation and delivery of internal messages. Within the communications department you will take personal ownership of curating and managing the company's intranet and employee communications portal, fostering a seamless and purposeful flow of information across the organization.
Job Responsibilities
As a vital member of the IS EMEA team, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Communication to shape and implement our internal communication strategy. Your role encompasses the development and execution of engaging internal communication plans, utilizing diverse channels such as email, intranet, video, town halls, and social media to align with business objectives.
You will craft and distribute compelling content, including announcements, articles, memos, newsletters, presentations, and talking points. As a proficient project manager, you will navigate complex, multi-faceted projects, coordinating efforts across various teams and stakeholders. Taking charge of our company intranet, you will maintain a user-friendly experience through timely updates.
Monitoring, measuring, and reporting on the effectiveness of internal communication initiatives will be a key responsibility, accompanied by collaboration with HR and other functions on employee communications related to policy changes, benefits, programs, and company initiatives. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and execution of change management communication strategies.
Keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, you will provide valuable recommendations on how to leverage them internally. Your support extends to the organization of and communication around internal events and meetings, ensuring high standards of confidentiality, and cultivating a positive and collaborative team environment.
As a capable project manager, you will oversee the execution of internal communication plans, managing timelines, deliverables, and external production suppliers. In compliance matters, you will maintain audit information as per internal requirements, oversee the approval process for promotional materials whenever needed, and define, create and manage all internal communication materials.
Beyond these core responsibilities, you will handle order creation, payments, and receipts, regularly report on budget and expenses, and foster collaboration by reaching out to other teams such as Marketing and HR. Operating seamlessly with teams from other locations, you will embody a commitment to excellence and contribute to the overall success of our communication and engagement initiatives.
Profile Description
Educational Background:
While a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing or journalism is preferred to meet the expectations of this role, we recognize that relevant experience can also provide the necessary skills and expertise. Professional Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related field.
Communication Skills:
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Project Management and Strategic Thinking:
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing internal communications plans, showcasing strategic thinking.
Collaboration and Brand Management:
Experience working with senior executives, highlighting collaboration skills.
Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), emphasizing brand management.
