Job Summary

As Product Specialist, you provide directed product support education, training and insight in the proper use of specialty medical devices in selected diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will be part of the Sales team in the European Emerging Markets Organization. The main responsibility of the Product Specialist is to manage / support all activities related to sales for Interventional Systems product groups for the Eastern Balkans. 

The countries in scope are Bulgaria, Moldova and Romania. For this position we are looking for somebody to work as an independent contractor. 

Job Responsibilities

1.    Building relationships and using influence
•    The IS Product Specialist should show that he can effectively collaborate in a multi-cultural international environment.
•    Captures the trust and respect of people by building sustainable relationships with colleagues and Distributors.
•    High interpersonal and communication skills required for interaction with his team members and external partners. 
•    Serves as a subject matter expert for distribution, and a tireless partner in enhancing customers’ interactions. 
•    Retains and develops relationships with distributors in the Interventional Systems different markets.

 

2.    Product knowledge
•    Meets with EEM Marketing and BU Marketing team to implement the defined appropriate product and technical support. 
•    Initiates sales trainings for Distributors sales teams to improve their skills to positively impact sales, shows ability to work in a complex, changing environment while delivering results to the organization across several cultures.

 

3.    Business Acumen
•    Advanced business skills, including strong presentation skills, strategic planning, financial, and organizational acumen.
•    Operates with strong business acumen, holds accountability for Eastern Balkans IS Sales activities with the distributors.

 

4.    Achievement of Sales targets
•    Executes the approved yearly distributor sales plan.
•    Manages distributor partnerships throughout Eastern Balkans 
•    Evaluate the timely adjustment of Balkans Sales and Marketing strategies and plans in order to meet changing market and competitive conditions
•    Co-develops strategic Sales plans, budgets and tactics to ensure that the revenues and profitability goals are met.
•    Understands all aspects of operations thoroughly and works effectively with the Balkans team and external firms on legal, financial and business matters.
•    Translates the Balkans IS Distributors Market strategic plan into local action plans to actively support distributors.
•    Plans, directs and controls all Interventional Systems Distributors activities.
•    Actively searches for opportunities to grow IS business in the designated territory. 
•    Works closely with the Balkans IS Sales team to analyze the market potentials and identify the best commercial approach to these different markets.
•    Assists the Balkans IS Sales team in analyzing all problems, related to his product group, propose and plan corrective actions in order to reach the objectives and targets
•    Assist and follow-up on scientific studies.
 

Profile Description

You have a master degree in Medical or Paramedical orientation.

You have minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in similar position (and minimum 3 years’ experience working in medical device industry). You show practical knowledge of Sales & Marketing techniques.

You enjoy working in an international environment; you are fluent in English (written and spoken) and have knowledge of either Romanian or Bulgarian language. 

You are recognized as a flexible team player, while being able to work independently, prioritizing you own work and maintaining the confidentiality of information.

You demonstrate a positive attitude, are pro-active, have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and can work under pressure and within short time constraints

You are flexible to travel intensively internationally.

You are able and willing to work as a contractor.
