Department Info

The Terumo EMEA PMO department provides supporting services to the Business and all departments for portfolio, program and project management. As PM there is a focus on PM methodology, tooling, roadmap & project initiation and implementation. This current open vacancy will focus, although not exclusivly, on IT projects.

Job Summary

The Terumo EMEA PMO department provides supporting services to the Business and all departments for portfolio, program and project management. As PM there is specific focus on PM methodology, tooling, road map & project initiation and implementation. In this role you will report to the Program Manager.
This position will focus first on an SAP transformation program, managing & bridhing  technical and business teams. After this project, that will have a two year scope, you will focus on other projects on a multitude of subjects. 

Job Responsibilities

1.   Project Management

Your responsibilities involve both project initiation and project delivery. In terms of initiation, you lead the definition of the project scope, objectives and business case, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Additionally, you draw up feasibility studies, execute cost-benefit analyses of improvement projects and develop strong business cases to get appropriate buy-in and approval by concerned partiesIn terms of product delivery, you manage project planning, which includes project deliverables, tasks and resource assignments. You also manage the project budget, any changes to the project and the risks involved in the project. Besides, you closely monitor each project; you track project deliverables using appropriate tools and you monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders. You provide direction and support to the project team and follow up the closure of each project and monitor its benefits.

2.   General

You are able to manage several projects simultaneously. Per project, you manage the involved project flow, project team and motivate, coordinate and support team members. Furthermore, you report regularly, and communicate and share knowledge with the diverse departments.  You demonstrate leadership skills and change management competences in a multicultural environment. You act as a representative of the company.

Profile Description

The position of Project Manager requires a bachelor's or master's degree in the field of economics, finance, engineering or IT. Additionally, you have strong experience in SAP projects (implementations, transformations etc.) in an international organisation.  Having lead projects with a multicountry scope is a must. Remote management, intercultural management will be key to be succesful in this role.  
 Your experience also includes project management, knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. Prince 2), as well as process optimisation to make the project run smoothly. 
You are both an independent worker and a team player. You have strong interpersonal skills and you are able to communicate at all levels. This means you have the right listening skills and you know how to ask the right questions.
In general, you are an enthusiastic and passionate professional who is well-organised and has a proactive attitude. 
Your communication - both written and spoken - is excellent and public speaking does not scare you.
You are fluent in English, but knowledge of other languages (Dutch, German, French) is definitely an asset.
Lastly, this function requires you to be flexible to travel when necessary.(10%)
