The Terumo Cardiovascular division (TCV) provides high quality medical devices for cardiac and vascular surgery, with an emphasis on cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-operative monitoring. This includes a full line of perfusion products, endoscopic vessel harvesting products and surgical stabilization products. Job Summary
As a passionate Sales Representative, you’ll manage all activities related to sales & marketing for a certain product group, in order to reach the sales targets. You’ll find the optimal solution to sell and promote our high-quality products to our current customers. In addition, you’ll establish new accounts. Your focus area is mainly in Belgium, selling monitoring systems, perfusion products and cardiovascular surgery products, as well as our customized packs. As part of the sales team, you’ll directly report to the Sales Manager.

Job Responsibilities
As our Sales Representative and a member of our BNL (Belgium & The Netherlands) Sales team, you’ll fulfil the needs of all our current customers and potential new accounts, by building trust and maintaining the relationships through your daily endeavours.
Therefore, you’ll need to ensure a clear understanding of the customer requirements. Consequently, you’ll need to analyse the market drivers, competition, market positioning and possible evolutions within the respective field.
You’ll manage all sales activities for your product group and/or territory and you’ll assist in analysing possible problems. When needed, you’ll propose and plan the necessary corrective actions to resolve the problems, in order to reach the objectives and targets.
In collaboration with the Sales Manager, you’ll be setting the related targets and price levels. You’ll manage the Key Opinion Leaders through proactively building and maintaining excellent relations.
The target audience will primarily consist of perfusionists, cardiac surgeons, additional physicians, pharmacists, and the purchase departments. You’ll also maintain excellent relationships with official parties, authorities, and organizations.
In addition, you’ll be present at conferences, congresses, and trade fairs to represent the company towards the target audience.
You’ll organize and set up training programmes to demonstrate the appropriate handling of our products and to contribute to the health of our patients.
You’ll work closely with the Sales Manager and internal stakeholders to strengthen Terumo’s position in our highly competitive industry.
Profile Description
You have obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree with a medical or paramedical orientation. In addition, you can look back on at least 2 to 5 years of relevant working experience within a similar role or a strong motivation and other qualities which would contribute to the role.
Your focus will be the BENL region but can be adapted according to targets as defined between yourself and the sales manager and you are open to visit all cardiac surgery centers.
You possess an extensive knowledge and understanding of sales techniques. Additionally, you’re highly proficient in verbal and writing skills in English and Dutch and at least be able to speak French fluently.
A clear understanding of the local market is a considerable asset.
You possess strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. In addition, you’re a team player, but are also able to work independently. Consequently, you’re able to prioritize and maintain the confidentiality of information at all times.
You’re also flexible, creative, positive, self-motivating, problem solving minded, proactive, and possess the needed resilience and patience. Above all, you’re able to perform under pressure and you show drive and determination for all tasks.
