The Credit Control team is an integral part of our Global Business Services (GBS) Finance organization. This department plays a critical role in safeguarding the financial health of the business by ensuring that credit is extended only to customers with a proven ability to meet payment obligations. The team is responsible for monitoring timely payments and managing incoming bank statements, contributing to efficient cash flow and financial operations.

Job Summary

As a Credit Controller within our Global Business Services (GBS) Finance organization, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity of our operations.

Your core responsibilities include the accurate processing of incoming and outgoing payments, netting activities, and timely cash collection. You will proactively investigate and assess credit risks related to both customers and suppliers, ensuring that credit decisions are based on sound financial analysis. By evaluating credit histories, you will provide informed recommendations to management regarding the approval or adjustment of credit limits.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing payments, including netting activities.
  • Drive timely cash collection and proactively resolve payment-related issues.
  • Manage the blocking and releasing of customer orders based on credit status.
  • Assess and monitor credit risk for both customers and suppliers, including credit limits, letters of credit, and bank guarantees.
  • Collaborate with customers and customer service teams to ensure prompt collections and resolve disputes.
  • Partner with local sales representatives to review overdue accounts and manage credit exposure.
  • Prepare monthly reports related to Accounts Receivable (A/R) and credit control.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, including execution of SOX controls and monthly A/R reconciliations.
  • Support the monthly financial close process.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for all financial documentation.

Profile Description

What you bring to the role:

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy or a related field.
  • You have experience in finance, ideally within Accounts Receivable (A/R), credit control, or customer service.
  • Experience with SAP is a strong asset.
  • You understand the end-to-end Order to Cash (OTC) process.
  • You’re proactive, accurate, and a strong communicator.
  • You have solid negotiation skills and work independently with resilience and drive.
  • You’re fluent in Polish and English, both written and spoken; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
