Department Info


Terumo Pharmaceutical Solutions (TPS) offers innovative solutions to the pharmaceutical industry through Drug Delivery Technologies & Devices for injection and infusion. The main goal is to enhance the drug delivery, as well as the patients overall comfort. Through open dialogue with other businesses, we build partnerships that benefit everyone – and offer products such as syringe systems, hypodermic needles, catheters, safety infusion sets and more. 


Our multilingual customer service team is located within our Terumo Europe facilities in Leuven. Supporting our clients while continuously interacting with our sales teams, distributors and supply chain team is at the heart of their job. 


Job Summary


As a Customer Care Intern, you will provide support towards all day-to-day customer care activities. In addition, you will get the opportunity and responsibility to contribute to a project to ensure the further innovation of our processes. In general, you will be the link between customers, the sales team, and the supply chain organization. Your objective is to support the efficient order processing flow for accounts. This process ranges from the order fulfilment and the invoice generation to after sales services. 


Besides the internship at your department, you’ll get the opportunity to connect with multiple people at Terumo, including fellow interns and the senior management. In addition, you’ll get the opportunity to learn about the company in different ways.

Job Responsibilities


As our Customer Care Intern, you will contribute to all customer care activities. Consequently, you’ll be in contact with clients throughout the world (in English). You will be responsible for and support order handling, communication, follow-up, document handling and other day-to-day tasks related to our customer care cycle. The target audience of clients consists of pharmaceutical companies. 


You will identify, develop and implement improvement activities through projects. Thereby, you will contribute to the further enhancement of the efficiency of Customer Care in different areas.  


You will provide follow-up for the invoicing process within our ERP-system, SAP. In addition, you will perform other tasks within SAP, like customer creation and masterdata management.  


You will assume other responsibilities as well, based on new opportunities that might arise during the internship.  


Profile Description


You are enthusiastic and driven about complementing our highly qualified customer care team. 


You are currently involved in studies at a Belgian University/High School that provides you with a relevant background to perform well within the internship context; e.g. Business Management, Office Management, Marketing, …. 


You are a self-starter and serious about your own development and performance. Additionally, you possess good critical, organizational and communication skills.  


You are fluent in English and Dutch. This entails both verbal and writing skills. In addition, you are a team player, highly punctual, customer oriented and are at all times prepared to go the extra mile when needed.  


You possess a good knowledge and understanding of MS Office.
