The Supply Chain EMEA department integrates Inventory Planning, EDC Warehousing, Transport, and EMEA Customer Service to form a collaborative, cross-functional, end-to-end global partnership.
Job Summary
As an Inbound Officer, your primary responsibility will be the administrative follow-up of incoming goods. This role is essential to ensuring a seamless and efficient inbound process, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting supply chain operations through data-driven insights and improvements.
This role involves a temporary part-time employment of 50% which can be extended to 100% with support towards Outbound logistics.
Job Responsibilities
1. Administrative Receiving of Incoming Goods
- Prepare daily and weekly inbound planning in line with priorities and guidelines from the planning team.
- Act as the single point of contact for suppliers/plants, inventory planning, customs, and carriers for all inbound shipments.
- Ensure the completion of inbound files upon arrival at EDC Genk, addressing any discrepancies.
- Prepare claims against shippers or carriers when necessary.
2. Supplier Management
- Support supplier evaluations and prepare action plans for selected suppliers.
- Attend supplier review meetings, follow up on action points, and ensure the proper onboarding of new suppliers.
3. Service Function Towards Supply Chain
- Assist in weekly/monthly KPI reporting, J-SOX reporting, and data analysis.
- Contribute to projects aimed at improving inbound processes and service levels.
- Collaborate with the Operations Team to optimize and enhance processes.
- Enhance document flow and automate reports for efficiency gains.
- Manage inbound freight control and ensure compliance with EHS standards within the scope of responsibility.
4. Additional Responsibilities
ADR/IATA Safety Adviser:
- Support the Transport Manager in ensuring compliance with regulations regarding the transport of dangerous goods.
- Provide guidance and recommendations for safely handling and transporting hazardous materials.
- Prepare an annual report on activities related to dangerous goods transport, ensuring availability for management and national authorities for a five-year period.
Profile Description
Experience:
- Proven experience in logistics operations.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP.
- Knowledge of Incoterms, Customs, ADR, and transport regulations.
- Familiar with ISO 9001, audit techniques, documentation, and CAPA management.
Planning & Processes:
- Understanding of SLAs, Order Management Systems, and operational transport processes.
Languages:
- Fluent in Dutch and proficient in English.
