Job Summary

In this role, you define specific reimbursement strategies for the British market to improve funding and penetration of Terumo Interventional Systems (TIS) technologies. You educate the Terumo field force about reimbursement; NHS structure and key stakeholders and partner with TIS management team to define the strategy with NHS procurement landscape.

Job Responsibilities
  • You implement the UK market access strategy for QuiremSpheres (innovative technology in interventional oncology), especially the NICE multiple technology appraisal for SIRT.
  • You define specific reimbursement and market access strategies for the British market to improve funding and penetration of TEIS technologies
    1. You have a deep knowledge of the HRG system to understand coding and payment for all Terumo technologies & create a network to influence coding/payment
    2. You are responsible for NICE evaluations/ have deep knowledge of the NICE programmes
    3. You explore opportunities with AHSNs and NIHR
  • You participate to procurement transformation, defining the Future Operating Model. You understand risks & opportunities as well as the process and represent Terumo at relevant ABHI meetings & other policy forums
  • You partner with the TIS management team to define the strategy with NHS procurement landscape but also to define the strategy related to significant policy efforts
  • You are responsible for the education of the Terumo field force on reimbursement, NHS structure & key stakeholders, future operating model & impact on Terumo's business
  • You represent Terumo at Industry Association (ABHI) in relevant working groups.
  • You create and manage project teams with internal (and external) stakeholdrs to achieve reimbursement
  • You are a team player & facilitate exchange of information between Terumo & Sales teams & other Terumo departments
  • You are the in-house expert contributing to business strategies from a reimbursement and market access perspective
  • You participate to pan-EMEA projects when necessary
Profile Description
  • You have a Bachelors or Masters degree in pharmacy, economics/health economics, life sciences,business administration with 3 to 5 years' experience in healthcare (industry or payer). You have knowledge of health economics concepts and modelling.
  • Over 2 years' experience in market access for medical devices in the UK. With this experience, you have a good understanding of the English DRG system; NICE; NHS England & procurement policy.
  • You have excellent presentation & communication skills in English: oral, written & powerpoint
  • Project management has no secrets for you
  • You love translating complex situations into simple communication
  • Handling change is your second nature, you can navigate a complex matrix organization
  • You are a creative thinker with a willingness to challenge the status quo
  • You are a strong team player with high persuading skills.
