This position is part of the Terumo Interventional Systems (TIS) Business Unit, within Terumo Europe.  At Terumo Interventional Systems, we constantly work to refine and perfect our products so that interventionalists can do more. The portfolio comprises interventional solutions for access, therapeutics and closure devices to treat coronary, vascular and cancer patients.
The Market Access department is part of the commercial organisation, reporting directly to the SVP TIS EMEA. 
 

Job Summary


As Director of Market Access EMEA, you will lead the development and execution of the EMEA market access strategies to support premium reimbursement/funding and patient access for the TIS portfolio in EMEA, for both devices and solutions. 
The portfolio includes interventional cardiology, peripheral interventions as well as loco regional interventional oncology products and digital health solutions; where advocacy to shape access and funding remain important.
You are a critical partner for R&D, marketing, medical and clinical, from global to local working alongside colleagues from pipeline to go to market; including product lifecycle management.
This role requires you to be an excellent communicator, able to work across functions and silos and build bridges on critical topics, such as: Health Ecosystem Definition, Stakholder engagement, Evidence Generation, Evidence Synthesis as well as Pricing and contracting.

Job Responsibilities


You lead the development and execution of EMEA market access strategies to support premium reimbursement/funding and patient access for the TIS portfolio in EMEA markets.

You support and coach your team of Market Access Managers, who are located in Germany, France and UK. 

You will collaborate with clinical and medical teams at the EMEA level to ensure that health economics and outcomes research needs are integrated into clinical studies. Work closely with KOLs and Medical Societies to create economic abstracts and publications that support TIS key technologies.

In addition, you partner with EMEA marketing team from pipeline creation to market access assessment, and assist in developing value-added/health economics tools to facilitate therapy adoption and value creation. This also includes value creation for Solutions and non-clinical buyers.

You'll be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders such as government officials, physicians, hospitals, Patient Associations, and third-party payer decision makers. In particular, you will play a crucial role in developing the TIS strategy with Patient Associations to improve access to our innovative technologies.

As an active member of the TIS leadership team, you'll bring your Market Access expertise and leadership experience to make important business decisions and participate in projects outside your subject matter expertise.

Furthermore, you represent TIS at Industry Association working groups and provide support to TIS SVP in MedTech Europe Board representation, alongside your Government affairs colleague.
You anticipate new trends, both national and international, that influence the market access environment and TIS business results.

Define the optimal strategy for local pricing and reimbursement dossiers and evidence generation, and ensure that dossiers and projects progress after internal alignment.

Last but not least, you collaborate and follow up with outsourced contractors, if needed, such as HEOR, Cost-Effectiveness, and/or Budget Impact Models specialists.
