The Terumo EMEA Project Management Office (PMO) supports the business by providing services for portfolio, program, and project management. Our PMO focuses on enhancing project management methodologies, tools, roadmaps, and overseeing project initiation and implementation. We are committed to driving excellence through well-structured project execution and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Job Summary
As a Project Management Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to work within our PMO team, contributing directly to our ongoing effort to elevate our portfolio management processes. You will gain hands-on experience in project and portfolio management in a large international organization, working to help increase the maturity of our data-driven decisions. Through this role, you'll be exposed to various elements of project management, including stakeholder engagement, process improvements, and strategic evaluation. This position is only open for candidates who are enrolled to a university or college, and are available to do an internship of 12 weeks or longer during this academic year (sept 24-sept25)
Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will be involved in various tasks and projects that directly support the improvement of our project management processes, including:
Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct interviews to gather and analyze business requirements from different departments.
Project Evaluation Support: Assist in the objective and subjective evaluation of project proposals to determine their alignment with business goals.
Framework Development: Help develop frameworks for the administration of business cases, including tracking actuals vs. budget, resource allocation, and financial review management.
Process Improvement & Advice: Provide recommendations to the PMO team on proof of concepts and processes currently in place.
Reporting & Data Quality: Create reports to evaluate the quality of data for projects approaching key gate approvals.
Documentation: Support the creation and organization of project-related documentation.
Profile Description
We are looking for motivated students with a passion for project management and an eagerness to learn. This role will allow you to work closely with our experienced PMO team and contribute to meaningful improvements in our processes.
You will be a perfect fit if you:
Are currently pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable working with data to drive decision-making.
Have experience with or a strong interest in design thinking approaches to problem-solving.
Are proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Are proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) and have an interest in learning project management tools.
Have strong communication skills and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
Fluency in English is required.
