The Interventional Systems division (TIS) delivers innovative, high-quality solutions for cardiac and vascular surgery, as well as interventional procedures. We focus on minimally invasive therapies that reduce the physical burden on patients. Our portfolio includes diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for Interventional Cardiology (IC), Peripheral Intervention (PI), and Interventional Oncology (IO).
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our Interventional Systems sales team in Switzerland. In this pivotal role, you will take full ownership of the sales and marketing strategy within your business unit, working in close collaboration with regional and European teams. You will be responsible for achieving ambitious sales targets, optimizing market opportunities, and developing your team to its full potential—all while representing Terumo’s values and commitment to medical excellence
You will lead a team of 7 professionals, providing clear direction, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and continuous development.
Job Responsibilities
Sales & Strategic Planning

Develop, implement and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed annual targets.

Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.

Collaborate with European Marketing and BU teams to support product launches and tactical campaigns.

Maintain close relationships with key customers and stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty
Team Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales team, setting clear objectives and monitoring progress.

Establish individual quotas, define incentive programs, and ensure ongoing development and performance management.

Foster a collaborative and professional team environment aligned with company values
Operational & Business Excellence

Utilize CRM systems to track and manage all strategic sales activities and customer interactions.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting to management and the European Business Unit.

Take part in national and international congresses to stay connected with industry developments.

Actively participate in Branch management meetings and contribute to its overall success
Cross-functional Collaboration & Market Execution

Establish and optimize sales channels in collaboration with internal departments (e.g., Regulatory Affairs, Business Units).

Ensure product knowledge is well disseminated within the team and support internal training needs.

Engage in the recruitment process for new team members to ensure cultural and strategic fit
Office & Vendor Management

Oversee office operations and manage supplier relationships, vehicle fleet, and related services.
Profile Description

Several years of successful sales experience in the medical device sector, with proven leadership capabilities.

Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop teams in a goal-oriented environment.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Excellent commercial and analytical acumen

Effective communicator at both national and international levels

Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken)
