Job Summary

As a Sales Representative, you will play a key role in driving the growth of our Cardiovascular business across Spain and Portugal.

 

Combining commercial responsibility with clinical engagement, you will build trusted partnerships with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and hospital stakeholders while supporting the adoption of innovative cardiovascular technologies. In addition to managing direct customer relationships, you will work closely with our distributor network to strengthen Terumo's market presence and deliver outstanding customer support.

Job Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Develop and grow the Cardiovascular business across Spain and Portugal by identifying new opportunities and expanding existing customer relationships.
  • Build long-term partnerships with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, procurement teams, and other key hospital stakeholders.
  • Present and demonstrate Terumo's cardiovascular portfolio, supporting customers throughout the sales process.
  • Contribute to local market development strategies and the successful introduction of new products.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Clinical Specialists, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to deliver an excellent customer experience.

 

Clinical Support

  • Provide product education and clinical support to healthcare professionals.
  • Support surgical procedures in the operating room when required, ensuring safe and effective product use.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by facilitating clinical discussions and sharing product expertise.

 

Distributor Management

  • Manage and develop Terumo's distributor network across Spain and Portugal.
  • Build strong partnerships with distributors, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and customer expectations.
  • Monitor distributor performance and identify opportunities to improve business results and service quality.
  • Conduct regular field visits, including joint customer visits with distributors and Key Opinion Leaders.

 

Representation & Collaboration

  • Represent Terumo at national and international congresses, scientific meetings, and customer events.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Share market insights and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support future business growth.

Profile Description

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience.
  • Experience in medical device sales, healthcare, or a clinical environment is an advantage.
  • Strong commercial drive with the ambition to develop new business and build lasting customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage confidently in clinical environments.
  • Comfortable working in operating rooms and interacting with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Spain and Portugal.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese is considered a strong asset.
