As a proud Factory of the Future, we continuously invest in automation, innovation, and growth. With the expansion of our production capacity and the launch of three new production lines, we are looking for an Automation Technician to strengthen our Technical & Maintenance team.
Job Summary
As an Automation Technician, you ensure the reliability and performance of our highly automated production environment. You are responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting automation-related issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
You will work with advanced technologies including:
- PLCs: Omron, B&R, Siemens, Allen-Bradley
- Robots & Cobots: ABB and Stäubli
- AGVs and AMRs
- Vision and inspection systems
Job Responsibilities
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated production equipment, PLC-controlled installations, robots, and related automation systems.
- Execute maintenance activities in accordance with technical procedures, safety standards, and work instructions.
- Ensure the reliability and availability of production equipment through timely and high-quality interventions.
Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze and resolve automation-related failures to minimize downtime and support production continuity.
- Identify recurring issues and propose improvements to increase machine reliability, efficiency, and performance.
- Support the implementation, testing, and optimization of new equipment and production lines.
Documentation & Communication
- Accurately document interventions, failure analyses, and used materials in the maintenance management system.
- Communicate effectively with Production and Maintenance colleagues regarding completed work and equipment availability.
- Ensure work orders are completed and closed correctly.
Safety & Collaboration
- Work in compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Actively participate in Tool Box Meetings and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to ensure optimal machine performance.
Profile Description
- Technical degree in Automation, Electromechanics, Electronics, or equivalent through experience.
- Experience with industrial automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of PLC systems; experience with robotics, vision systems, or industrial networks is a plus.
- Able to read and interpret electrical schematics (EPLAN).
- Familiar with SAP PM or other maintenance management systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on mindset.
- Passion for technology, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Good knowledge of Dutch or English, with the willingness to learn Dutch.
