The Tax & Treasury Department, a team of 5 associates,  is part of the overal EMEA Finance organisation of Terumo Europe.

Job Summary

 


The main responsibilities of this position include treasury-related activities and executing various types of payments. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn and expand your knowledge to become an Insurance Expert, responsible for following up on insurance claims and monitoring travel policies and tools

Job Responsibilities

1. Treasury
You will execute in- and outgoing payments accurately and on time for EMEA entities.
Preparing cash flow forecasts, uploading FX rates in SAP, and monitoring treasury KPIs will be part of your daily tasks.
Supporting the Treasury Lead with activities like short-term deposits and intercompany lending/borrowings is also part of your role.
Managing company credit cards and offering assistance to cardholders will fall under your responsibility.
You'll also contribute to building and maintaining strong relationships with banks.

2. Insurance
You’ll assist the Insurance Lead with key tasks, including policy renewals, premium billing, and allocation.
Managing insurance claims will be essential to your role, ensuring they are tracked, reported, and followed up on.
You'll maintain direct contact with the insurance broker, ensuring smooth communication and processes.

3. Travel
Ensuring the correct application of the travel policy will be a priority, along with recommending potential improvements.
Training and reporting across EMEA will be necessary to maintain compliance with the travel guidelines.
Act as the go-to person for travel officers and frequent travelers, offering advice and ongoing support.

4. Compliance & SOX
Compliance is key, and you’ll execute SOX controls, including monthly bank reconciliations and updating policies.
You'll actively manage risks associated with treasury and insurance activities.
A structured filing system for all financial documents will be part of your responsibility to ensure proper organization.

5. Other Responsibilities
You'll participate in treasury, insurance, or finance-related projects, helping to drive improvements.
Contributing to the development of insightful reports on financial performance and risks will be a key part of your role.
Continuously look for ways to enhance EMEA-wide activities within your domain, seeking out improvements where possible.

Profile Description

A Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field to give you a solid foundation.
Some experience in treasury, finance, or accounting (around 1-2 years), showing you’re ready to dive deeper into the role.
Strong soft skills like problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail, helping you succeed in a collaborative environment.
Fluency in English, so you can comfortably communicate and network with colleagues and stakeholders.
A curious mindset, always looking for ways to learn and improve processes.
Great organizational skills, especially when it comes to managing documents and keeping things neat and structured.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Good knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to support your day-to-day tasks.
As this is a hybrid role, we are recruiting in cities close to one of our Terumo Offices (with a preference for Leuven, Madrid, Paris, Warsaw or Rome)
